The Wiggles

The Wiggles on stage

We went to The Wiggles' concert last week and had a blast. A friend of mine from work was able to get us in for free. Ryan picked up the girls and met me at the concert. My friend, Mariah, went with us and I rode with her to pick up her two kids. We arrived late, which was not planned, and Ryan was stuck entertaining the girls outside the arena. Aubree did not understand why she couldn't go in and Ryan told her mommy has the tickets. When we finally went in, the girls had a blast! Laci danced most of the concert and Aubree sang a couple of songs, but most of the time they just starred. The girls had fun and we enjoyed watching them! Once again, this was another event I was glad that we were able to go to and spend quality time together as a family. Ryan was a good sport and I was glad he was there with us.

Aubree's Thanksgiving Program At School

Aubree had a Thanksgiving Feast at school and the parent's were invited. I have to work on the days Aubree goes to school. I thought it would be easier that way but it is more difficult for me. I go into work late at least once a week and work late to make up the time. Aubree loves her school and she is one of three girls in her class. On the 18th of November, I had to bring in one of Aubree's favorite foods for the Thanksgiving Feast. I brought in chicken nuggets. Each class sang a song and then the children were able to sit with us and eat. Ryan wasn't able to make it and I was trying to get my mom to go in my place, so I didn't have to miss a half of a day of work. She couldn't go because she had an appointment. I thought about not going but then I couldn't do that to Aubree. I am so glad I went! When Aubree came walking in with her class, she started looking for me and when she found me, her face lit right up and she wouldn't take her eyes off of me. Of course, that brought tears to my eyes. I enjoy spending the morning with Aubree and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Making Pizza

Two weeks ago, one of my friends' mothers passed away so I went the viewing after work to be there for support. Since I was going there, Ryan had the girls. He called me to tell me that he was going to make pizzas with them. He was so excited. He took them to the grocery store to buy the stuff. The girls were excited. I asked him to please take pictures so I can post them. I am so thankful that he is involved and enjoys doing fun things with the girls. I know I don't tell him often that I am thankful for him and that he a GREAT dad. The girls love him and enjoy the time they spend together!! Laci made her own pizza and Ryan said she ate most of the pepperonis. Aubree helped Laci with her pizza. Aubree didn't need any help because she is a big girl and can do it all by herself. We hear the often.

Aubree's School Picture

Aubree's school picture turned out better then I anticipated. Aubree had a melt down the morning of pictures because she wasn't happy with what I picked out for her to wear and she didn't want her hair in pig tails. I won the battle because I told her that she could change when she got to Merdie's house. She was happy with that suggestion. Why do 3 year-old's think they can make their own decisions? Aubree is very independent which I am happy about but it is a pain! I hate to admit it but she get this wonderful trait from me. I wish I could blame it on Ryan but I can't. When I got her pictures back, she said "mommy, I'm so bautiful." I am so glad she knows she is beautiful!!!!

Our Ward's Fall Festival, Peyton's Birthday & Halloween

Last week was CRAZY!!! On Saturday, October 25, 2008 was our Ward's Fall Festival. Aubree dressed up as Cinderella and Laci dressed up as the Tulip Fairy. The girls had so much fun. Aubree played with her friend Lindsey, who was a witch, the whole time and thought she was big enough to carry her around. Lindsey is the same age as Aubree but petite. Lindsey didn't seem to mind Aubree carrying her around but we had to remind her to put her down. Laci wasn't in the best of mood so she stayed close to me.

On Monday, October 27, 2008, Peyton had her Pirate and Princess birthday party and both of the girls dressed up as Cinderella. Their Cinderella dresses were new, THANKS TO MERDIE AND HER WONDERFUL DISCOUNT!!!! My girls had a good time and all of Aubree's friends were there. This time, she paled around with Kamryn.

HALLOWEEN.......it was a crazy day for me at work. I was so busy and Ray thought that everything had to go out before we all left so we all worked until 6:00 p.m. My mom had to dress the girls and Ryan thought he was going to have to take them Trick or Treating. I made it home by 6:45 p.m. and was able to take them out. Ryan stayed home to pass out candy and relax :) The girls and I met up with Meredith, Andrew and Peyton and The Lawton Family, which are our good friends. Aubree dressed up as Tinker Bell, the third costume for the week and Laci went as the Tulip Fairy again. It was actually nice outside and it felt like fall. I was so happy because in the past, we are sweating, wearing shorts and killing mosquitoes. I didn't take that many pictures of the girls Trick or Treating but I have a few. Laci was in the mood for me to hold her or for Aunt Meredith to hold her so my hands were also full.
